MISSION - WHAT WE DO
The history of the National Food Industry Association began in 1987 when former presidents of the Philadelphia Korean Grocers Association, Jeon Ki-poong and Lee Myeong-sik, and former president of the Los Angeles Korean Grocers Association, Kim Yang-il, gathered in Washington, D.C. and pledged to “find out what we can do for Korean food industry professionals across the Americas and promote cooperation between regional associations to develop and foster friendship in the food industry.”
SERVICES - HOW WE DO IT
The National Korean American Grocers Association was founded in 1989 with Kim Ki-ok as its first president, and in 2009, the name was changed from National KAGRO to KAGRO International (International Korean American Grocers Association), and the current 18th president is Park Kwang-min.
