MISSION - WHAT WE DO
Geared Up is a 501(c)(3) organization and serves as an engineering enrichment program that provides resources for K-12 students in disadvantaged school districts to become immersed in the world of engineering through guest speakers and design challenges. Geared Up does not aim to convert all students to future engineers, instead, the goal of Geared Up is to provide equal STEM opportunities to students who may not have otherwise had them. We focus on bridging the education gap at all schools across the world.
SERVICES - HOW WE DO IT
Geared Up was founded in 2016 by a Mechanical Engineering + Mathematics student at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX to help bridge the education gap and provide STEM related extracurricular activities to students in disadvantaged areas. Since its founding, Geared Up expanded to 9 schools across 4 states and has impacted over 200 students around the country! Geared Up is now a 501(c)(3) organization and we hope to be able to expand to schools all over the country and the world!
