MISSION - WHAT WE DO

The Fibroid Treatment Collective is a medical group of fibroid experts dedicated to curing fibroids with minimally invasive therapy. We performed the very first Uterine Fibroid Embolization in America, and every year we add to the number of patients who get fibroid relief without major surgery.

VISION - GOALS AND ASPIRATIONS

We’re a fibroid-focused collective of doctors with extensive experience in fibroid embolization; the non-surgical approach that treats fibroids by shrinking them, rather than removing the uterus or uterine tissue. We’re also a collective of Patient Advocates. Women who don’t want surgery. Or have already experienced multiple fibroid surgeries. Or simply believe a less invasive treatment is a better treatment. They freely share their experience with embolization on this site and in our webinars and seminars. FTC founder, Bruce McLucas believes that traditional fibroid surgeries, such as hysterectomy (surgical removal of the uterus) and myomectomy (surgical _x0003_removal of fibroids) should never be a patient’s only option. He introduced Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE) to America in 1994 and has performed _x0003_thousands of successful procedures. Dr McLucas actively trains other physicians in UFE.

SERVICES - HOW WE DO IT

he Fibroid Treatment Collective is unique in that we are a medical group solely devoted to fibroids with a special emphasis on embolization. FTC introduced embolization to America over a decade ago. We are responsible for thousands of successful treatments and actively train other physicians to perform this safe, non-surgical procedure. FTC was established by Bruce McLucas M.D., a graduate of Yale Medical School and a board certified obstetrician and gynecologist. Dr. McLucas is one of the only gynecologists in America accredited in the skills necessary to perform embolization, allowing him to participate in every step of your treatment. Concern for the high number of unnecessary hysterectomies and dissatisfaction with myomectomy outcomes led Dr. McLucas to become an fibroid embolization advocate. His goal, and the mission of FTC is to ensure women with fibroids know all the options when it comes to their fibroid treatment.
