MISSION - WHAT WE DO
Corazón y Carácter’s vision is to strive together against mental health challenges through individual, family and community empowerment. Encouraging empowerment by providing education and services to communities that align with our value of building healthier and stronger communities.
VISION - GOALS AND ASPIRATIONS
to develop meaningful relationships and build stronger communities they had to start by educating individuals, families and supporting our communities. They prepared information, instructed people, raised awareness, but most importantly they restored self-esteem by empowering themselves and individuals.
SERVICES - HOW WE DO IT
Corazón y Carácter is a group of women providing training and instruction in public health sectors to individuals and families in low income communities. We empower people and build their self-esteem by developing, educating, and raising awareness in areas such as: Sex education Gay and lesbian mindfulness Youth advocacy Alcohol and drug prevention Depression Domestic violence Child abuse Nutrition Obesity Mental health Sexually transmitted diseases (STD’s)/Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) HIV Sexual assault
