MISSION - WHAT WE DO
The Giving Hand's mission is to help veterans, victims of domestic violence, the unhoused, underserved minorities and youths, low-income families and seniors succeed mentally, emotionally, physically and financially. Heal by equipping those in our communities with the medical, educational, and financial resources necessary to develop their self-identity, to achieve economic stability, to gain a sense of personal accountability, academic excellence, community involvement, social equality, and balanced living. We strive to restore those in need by providing housing opportunities, rehabilitation centers, job opportunities, scholarships, nutritional resources, educational counseling, and outreach programs for vulnerable communities.
VISION - GOALS AND ASPIRATIONS
The Giving Hand is on a mission to dismantle poverty by uplifting those marginalized by society. We guide families and individuals towards self-sufficiency, emphasizing that welfare should be a safety net, not a permanent solution. By equipping the youth with mentorship and educational tools, we prevent future cycles of homelessness and addiction. Our initiatives enable parents to secure employment, breaking the cycle of poverty and fostering resilience in the next generation. We are dedicated to supporting not just the youth but also the elderly, ensuring they receive the care they deserve. Above all, we honor our veterans with housing and comprehensive mental and emotional health services, acknowledging their sacrifices for our freedom.
SERVICES - HOW WE DO IT
The world isn't facing just one problem, so why should we tackle only one issue? Here at The Giving Hand, we believe in doing everything within our means to serve all of the communities in need. As we continue to expand our programs and grow our strategies, we hope to eventually meet all of the world's demands. This organization has been alleviating food insecurity amongst the homeless, as well as providing housing, counseling, and mentoring to people of all ages, ethnicities, and races. We have come together not only for the American people, but for the human race. With every hungry child, with every man or woman falling victim to abuse, with every homeless veteran and with every individual deprived of an education, we will continue the good work until we are able to eliminate all of the issues facing our vulnerable populations. We do more than just give at The Giving Hand, because we understand that people need more than just food or money to thrive; they need a new perspective on life, hope, and opportunity.
